From Greg : Your solution is here. Lets get started, I've have the space and tooling, the yard, the design office and pro relationships with every tradesman in town for over 4 decades. While working the last 13 years in my own boatyard (after 22 years leasing in other yards) I've learned about yacht building the hard way. After leaving the navy was hired by a local custom yacht builder as their 1st engineer. Since then I've fabricated and been a part of some well known or big projects. Metal, wood, glass, surface coatings, sewing/fabrics, plumbing, wiring, custom panels, building engine beds, dialing in the electronics, swapping and building new engines has been routine. You may need this kind of experience. Hiring dozens of yacht building or surface coating experts wasn't nearly enough. You have to do most things yourself. If you've done this for 40+ years (like I have and while getting dirty) then you already know. Finally I can design the very best "as-built" drawings and systems in 3D using shipconstructor, Rhino amd Autocad. I build strong engines, design struts, plumbing layouts, design steering and do much of the black arts of boat building and hull laminating. HVAC ducting, equipment locating and servicability built in. My drawings, training or supervision are embedded with real yacht experience. I came from big navy ship experience then couldn't wait to get into yachts. Can't tell you how many builds I've done that came with a set of drawings from architects that had just enough info to barely bid on a boat build. Not nearly enough to build the boat without boat builders doing much of the engineering. This wasted hundreds of hours in production time. 1 hr of engineering should save 6-8 hours of production. When I build a boat today, I'm on the boat all day. The checkbook and drawings are in my back pocket and the build can come in at 55,000 hours. If I would go into an office and hire middle management to help, instead of working on the vessels myself, that same build would become 110,000 hours. I've worked free for at least another decade so you dont have to worry if your boats going to be shipwright. This all started after a college degree, while raising kids and finishing the navy all right here in pt loma after leaving Naples florida yacht club dishwasher job. Antisubmarine warefare training started at age 18 to learn electronics better than they teach anyone these days and I've grown from the wires and trons going everywhere to understanding the most any one individual can know about the over all yacht project in port and offshore. Knowledge, skill, sweat, getting dirty will all help to get you back to your slip and back home safely. Thats the honor code you need, its what I sell. Never hype or puffery, always 100% truth and the lone voice of the boat ensuring 100% completion. Yes, You could go build your own boat yard, gather tons of tools, deal with fire marshals and zoning, buy heavy equipment or just hire me to help, I have a spot open to build in now. Book now, my fitness and stamina is conditioned for the duration, your's may not last a week. 1st one leg limps,. then the other. Your solution is here. It's the very best you can hire to help you build a yacht. Lets get started, I've have the space and tooling. Lets talk.
